Clean air is a human right no matter where you live or how much money you make. Unfortunately, the polluting fuels we are forced to use in cars and trucks are causing heart and lung disease in alarming rates in New Jersey's most vulnerable communities. Four states are already taking steps to reduce these health disparities by giving drivers the choice of using clean fuels made from used cooking oil from restaurants and food waste in the car they already own. A bill in Trenton called the Clean Fuel Standard will make New Jersey the fifth state to give drivers that option.
